Are there aspects of your life that you find really frustrating? It's easy for most people to express their opinions when they're frustrated. However, how frequently do you express your gratitude to others?

Expressing gratitude entails being appreciative and thankful for something or someone. You appreciate how your husband always puts the kids to bed, but you may be irritated that he rarely helps with the dishes at night. Which do you give the most attention to? Express your gratitude that he takes over the bedtime duties rather than nagging him about doing the dishes.

If you're not content with your life, you can make it better by learning to be thankful for what you have. Even if you need a new car, you should be grateful that you still have a functional one. Even if you wish you had more money in the bank, you should be thankful for what you have saved thus far.

To put it another way, you want to stop worrying about what you lack and instead concentrate on what you do have. Express your gratitude and appreciation to your loving partner or children who are excelling in school. Are you and your family happy and healthy? Fantastic, a lot of families have a sick member that can bring the whole family down.
